A Chicago-area native, Kelsey earned her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law in May 2023, following a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Sociology, and Criminology from the same institution in 2020.

Motivated by a deep commitment to social justice and advocacy, Kelsey relocated to New Orleans after law school to focus on representing individuals in removal proceedings.
